Today I'd like to introduce you to a lovely blogging lady named Laura! She blogs over at the sweet little blog, Deliciously Yours. I hope you'll pay her a visit! Here's a little interview :
-----------------------
1. When + why did you start blogging?
I started my blog in January 2011, so it’s just over a year old. At the time I had gone back to school to do a graduate program, and was on my Christmas break. I had too much time on my hands and my poor boyfriend (who was becoming annoyed with me constantly telling him that I was bored) jokingly suggested that I needed a hobby to keep me busy. A few months before I had begun reading various fashion blogs, and decided that this would be my hobby!
At first I was blogging very occasionally, but since the fall I’ve really been going full swing, and it’s almost like a whole new blog now! I like to incorporate my style posts with little bits of my everyday life.
In terms of my blog and my personal style, I am definitely inspired by other bloggers. I also find inspiration in the street style that I see around my city. I am also heavily influenced by other fashion eras.
In terms of my personal life, I think I am most inspired by people who are genuine and passionate. They rub off on me!
3. What are 3 words that you would use to describe yourself?
I always find this type of question hard, because it’s difficult to remain objective and humble about yourself, and it makes me a bit nervous, so I got my boyfriend to provide three words to describe me:
- Adventurous
- Optimistic
- Fun
4. How would you describe your style?
I think my style is constantly changing, but I love vintage more than anything, mostly pieces from the 50’s and 60’s. I also love vintage inspired clothing. I tend to mostly wear dresses and skirts; I love to feel feminine. Since working a full-time office job, I also think my style has matured a little bit, but I still like to stand out and look interesting.
Right now I am obsessed with ANYTHING with a peter pan collar, anything with bows on it, and I’m so excited about all the lovely pastels and romantic looks that are on trend for this spring!
5. What is your dream job?
I’ve never really thought of myself as a one career type person. Right now I work in a charity as a fundraiser, and I really enjoy it. I would love to continue working in the charity sector; it’s challenging and interesting. I would love to work in a charity that deals with fashion at some point.

Hopefully we'll be hearing more from Laura later this month! She'll be one of my lovely guest-posters when I go on my Spring Break vacation. Yay!
In other news, Pi Day was a success yesterday! The pie wasn't very tasty, and some crazy girl showed up to Garrett's house, but other than that it was a good day!
Now, tell me, what would you do if someone, an acquaintance who thinks you are friends, comes into your house. Doesn't knock. Doesn't tell you they're coming over. They just walk in and stay for 3+ hours?
Can you tell how much I love people?
Senioritis is making me cranky.

Laura seems super sweet. I'll have to head over to check out her blog!

Ronida, I promise to check out your blog by the end of this weekend, I just want to give you a full little review, and don't have the time right now. I'm a slacker.

Thank you Heather! looking forward for it! <3
DeleteI'll definitely check out her blog! She seems so sweet. And if some random person walked into my house I'd probably be like, "What the dickens are you doing here? Get out!" And I'd attempt to shoo them away. I know, I'm a mean person. :P

Et tu, tutu?
Haha I wanted to do much more than "shoo her" though. By comparison my dear, you're a saint!

What a cool interview! I'll check out her blog too!
ReplyDeleteAnd OMG you should have kicked her out! Obviously something is wrong with that girl. You need to show her that she's not welcome before she gets even crazier ideas in her head!
And if all else fails, go ghetto on her. Yeah, shank her. I got your back homie. Lol.
